Love this program, it’s the best I found on the topic dream journals / lucid dreams.
I’ve been using it for a few years now and still am content with it.
But I have a few things I’m missing / suggestions.
– Most annoying thing are the diagrams (especially for the objects – I have too many!!) – most of the titles are not readable because there is too much text and not enough space for it. So it would be better to have the text smaller or in written in another direction.
Or what I’d find quiet useful: to be able to create categories, e.g. In locations “home” and in there the rooms.
There are also some words that don’t fit into any of the categories, like colors – it would be useful to create own categories besides the existing ones (characters, locations etc.). I’m also missing the time there – time in the dream.
– The time of the dream should be from … to … Not just one time. And it would be useful to have an option to add if I woke up after that dream.
– if I wake up for a longer time at night (for WBTB or something else) I can only add the time for each dream period, which is ok but in the diagram of the month it’s not displayed two dream periods.
– sometimes I wake up after 12 pm, same problem with the diagram there. It looks weird. It would help to select from/to which time the “night” lasts.
– when selecting which kind of dream it is, pre lucid dreams are missing.
– I never know what to write in there when I’m not sure / don’t know the date or time of the dream. Some field to tick “unknown” would help.
– for looking for dream signs it would be great to see dream signs of the last year / month or what ever period only. It always shows me things I dreamed a lot of in the past but that doesn’t help in current dreams.
– some space for adding interpretations/ comments to each dream

can i somehow set up the program so it could recognize three or four letter words?
You can manually add them… just click on File -> New -> and select a category.
When I open the program, it asks me if I want to download the new version (3.31). But when I click “Yes”, it says “LightenedDream.Update.Launch(): The system cannot find the file specified.” What’s wrong?
Not sure. You can manually download the latest version from here.
When I open up Lightened Dream this pops up:
‘ ‘, hexadecimal value 0x01, is an invalid sign. Row 1, Position 1.
Can I fix this somehow? I’ve been a bit messy with my files. I deleted the Categories and then I renamed in the files the categories to “example” to assign the categories new. What exactly should I do?
It sounds like the XML in one of the files is not valid – maybe a quotation mark is missing. Can you open them in Visual Studio? It should highlight any markup errors.
Hmm, more files seem to be corrupted. I think I have to copy all texts new into the program.
If you zip up and send me \Documents\lucidcode\Lightened Dream\Categories\ I should be able to find the file with the problem and fix it.
Hello I have typed in my keywords “flying” in german some tiem ago and now I typed in “flys”. The problem is that “fliegen” and “Fliegen” is the same word in german. Is there a way to change this?
I usually pluck their wings off and call them “Laufe”. 😛 Seriously, I can’t think of a solution other than using another name for fly, perhaps “Diptera”?
